Hardware

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2400+ with 512 MB of 333 MHz RAM, an Asus V7700 Geforce2 GTS (64 MB RAM) graphics card and a Creative Sound Blaster Live! Platinum audio card. I have a couple of HDDs: one SATA and one PATA.
I was recently forced to upgrade because of a string of failures on my previous computer. After an almost complete overhaul, this was the configuration..

Operating System

My operating system of choice is Debian GNU/Linux. I used to work on Red Hat earlier, but what really caught my attention about Debian was its amazing package management system : apt. Using apt, you can update your whole distribution with just one command!

Desktop Environment

I use KDE 3.1, but ironically (because I don't really like Gnome) most of the other programs I use are designed for Gnome!

Web Browser

When a dist-upgrade sent Galeon crashing, I was forced to look for a new browser. It was then that I was introduced to this fantastic browser called Mozilla Firebird. Apart from its ease of use, extensive shortcuts and good rendering, I was blown away by the number of extensions available for it.

Mail Client

I use Ximian Evolution 1.4, along with SpamAssassin to filter my mail. My MTA is sendmail.

Chat Client

My chat client is Psi and my protocol of choice is Jabber.
